Cleaning...

After using the notebook a lot, you will notice it becomes more noisy. I even experienced a slowdown while executing cpu stressing tasks.
The problem is the dust that enters in the notebook, slowly blocking air intakes. this increases cpu temperature and force the fan to work a lot more.
Then i decided to clean the cpu fan: here's the report

Be warned: i take NO RESPONSABILITY for anything you will do with your notebook following my instructions. I mean, I own this notebook and that's what i did. Nothing else. No warranty of any type. You're on your own.

All you need is a screw-driver and ten minutes of your precious time.

  1. remove the five screws indicated in image (numbers are for reference only, they don't represent an order) and remove the monitor cover. (shot)
  2. unscrews these other four screws but be careful since they hold the monitor. Keep it with your hand. (shot)
  3. remove the highlighted cover. no screws. (shot)
  4. remove the highlighted cover. still no screws. (shot)
  5. you missed the screws? here are some more :) they lock the keyboard. (shot)
  6. since the keyboard is connected to the motherboard -see the red rectangle- my suggestion is to avoid removing it (it's difficult to reconnect), just overturn it on the notebook. (shot)
  7. remove this little cover (shot)
  8. now take up the fan -note that is connected with a power cable- (shot)
  9. well done. remove the last cover (watch out: the 7th screw is a bit hidden) (shot)
  10. finish! now take out all the dust you can ;) (shot)
